Construction Law, and related Contracts and Litigation

We have represented designers, builders, engineers, contractors and homeowners in construction-related matters, whether for residential or commercial properties. While some of this work is transactional, involving the preparation of construction contracts and related documents, the recording of Mechanic’s Liens, or assisting in permit applications, many of our cases in this area have also involved disputes and litigation. Our 30+ years of trial experience includes defending construction defect claims on behalf of licensed contractors and design professionals, prosecuting and defending basic breach of contract actions, and representing homeowners as well as contractors in cases resulting from Mechanic’s Liens. We also represent condominium owners in construction related claims against their Homeowners Association.

Helping clients find solutions to construction delays and stoppages, as well as the unexpected

What do you do when your contractor has walked off your home improvement project in the middle of the job? What happens when your General Contractor has been paid in full, but fails to pay the Sub-contractors? What about the extra work that was done without a written change order? And to where does a condominium owner turn when her unit has been water damaged by a broken pipe, but the HOA refuses to make repair? These, and more, are the types of questions and cases that come across our desk.

Our office will work with you through these problems, step by step, so as to minimize your loss, help get your project completed or back on schedule, or help you get paid for the work you performed.
